COMMUNITY WORK

MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK

We care about the communities you call home—because we call them home, too. Every year members of the Waterloo Regional Police Association volunteer for causes that are near and dear to their hearts, and the association sponsors their efforts.

The Waterloo Region Police Association has partnered with Chym FM:

Brady & Tara's Local Hero - community members who go above and beyond are recognized and surprised!

Random Acts of Christmas - local families are surprised with some unexpected holiday cheer!

We also support three annual events as an entire association:

The Grand River Motorcycle Ride for Dad

Organized by two of the association’s members every June, the Grand River Motorcycle Ride for Dad is a fun-filled day of riding in support of prostate cancer research. The run wraps up at the WRPA Centre, where participants are treated to lunch, entertainment, prizes and more.

Kids, Cops & Canadian Tire Fishing Days

Held every year, Kids, Cops & Canadian Tire Fishing Days brings children and members of the Waterloo Regional Police Association together to catch the big one. In the process, we help kids have positive experiences with police. We’ve been involved since 2003.

Donation of children’s gifts

We also donate the unclaimed children’s gifts from our annual Christmas party to Cambridge Memorial Hospital’s children’s unit and KidsAbility—because we want to make sure Santa visits every child.
